Propulsion and combustion- Spitze Aerospace has very diverse propulsion expertise and experience. Some of main research and development interest are in the areas of Hybrid rocket propulsion (computational and experimental studies), airbreathing propulsion such as ducted rocket, solid and liquid fuel ramjets and dual mode ramjets (both computational and experimental) Another interesting area of interest is new green propellant synthesis, propellant characterization and combustion studies. Additionally in house expertization on several combustion analysis for both premixed and non-premixed combustion problems in applications ranging from gas turbine combustors, to rocket engine and other high speed propulsion etc.
Aerodynamics- work focuses mainly on computational studies on high speed intakes for airbreathing engines for supersonic and hypersonic such as ramjets, scramjets and other hybrid air-breathing engines.
