Autonomous navigation-This division of Spitze Aerospace focuses on autonomous navigation for unmanned systems, including ground robots, drones, and spacecraft. The team explores computer vision-based navigation by applying AI, machine learning (ML), and deep learning (DL) technologies. The goal is to achieve fully autonomous navigation, encompassing object detection, tracking, collision avoidance, path planning, and mission guidance using computer vision. Once matured fully, this technology is supposed to function in both familiar and unfamiliar environments, as well as in GPS-enabled and GPS-denied scenarios. Current exploration and technology demonstration plans are based on drone/UAV platforms and expected to extend to several Aerospace and Space applications.
